Each year the Jubilee Cup is awarded by the Parish Council to an individual, team or group who deserve recognition for their achievements or service to the community.
Any member of the community may nominate any individual, team or group for con-sideration by the Council. All you have to do is describe briefly (up to 400 words) why you feel they should be awarded the Jubilee Cup. Especially as she has put a lot of effort into sorting out the land registration, and vesting with the Official Custodian so as to ensure Community Centre can benefit from National Lottery Funds.

- Many years spent working on the footpaths in and around the village, keeping the Village Record, serving on the Parish Council, helping the old people in the village in a variety of ways, working on the committee that organised Worlingworth Celebrates, serving on the Produce Show Committee, helping to organise the village fete in the summer and the firework display in the autumn, serving on the Community Centre Committee and Social Club Committee, including raising funds and carrying out many caretaker duties. 2019 For many years service on the Parochial Council and the Worlingworth Community Centre Management Committee. She has tirelessly edited and produced the Parish Newsletter every month over many years. Less publicly she has opened and closed the Community Centre gate morning and evening and been on hand to open and close the Centre as needed. More recently Val has taken on organising the monthly rota for the community bus. Val has been a willing volunteer to offer catering and other support for village events. These are the persistent and laborious tasks that help to hold the fabric of our village together.
Also: She is involved with many village organisations, including: The Ladies Guild, Keep Fit and doing the bookings, collecting the money and arranging the transport for most of the village outings and she is a Church Elder. Val Swallow

Brian has been involved with the Parish Council for many years giving unstinting and loyal support for the village, along with other Worlingworth committees such as chairing the history club. Over the years he has willingly given up so much of his time to local causes, so in light of his recent announcement to cease this voluntary work, we feel he would be a worthy nominee to acknowledge this service. Awarded to Brian Smallcombe, recent Chair of the Parish Council.
